1 so
・so + adjective + that-clause
These boxes are so heavy that we can’t lift them.
so + many + noun + that-clause
There were so many people in the auditorium that we could barely get in the front door.
So much paper money was printed during the Revolutionary War that it became almost worthless.
2 such
・such + adjective + noun + that-clause
It was such a pretty view that he took a photograph.
3 too
・too + adjective + infinitive
It’s too cold to go swimming.
4 as
・as + adjective / adverb + as
Jane did as well as I did on the economics exam.
* A little tip
so, too, as は、adjective / adverb の一語しか修飾できないので、次のように表現されることがあります。。
It’s too big a risk.
This is not as difficult a question as it seemed at first.
Yesterday was so beautiful a day that I went out for a drive along the coast.
